Are Professionals Ready for AI in the Workplace?

Nordic Academic Forum conference 16 and 17 September 2024 in Reykjavík.
The topic is Artificial Intelligence in the workplace from various perspectives, e.g. bias, workers health, standards, regulations, and the role of confederations.
Below are introductions to the speakers and the conference program.

Andri Snær Magnason

Andri Snær Magnason is an Icelandic writer and documentary film director. He has written poetry, fiction, non fiction and science fiction, published or performed in more than 40 languages.

Guðbjörg Linda Rafnsdóttir

Guðbjörg Linda Rafnsdóttir is a professor of sociology at the University of Iceland. She has experience in sociological and interdisciplinary research, mainly on working life, gender, ICT and organizational issues.

Johan Holm

Johan Holm is a Doctor of Law, Associate Professor and assistant head of the law department at the University of Umeå, specialising in labour law and health and safety regulation.

Natalia Giorgi

Natalia Giorgi is a project officer at the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC). She works on EU and EFTA-funded projects aimed at strengthening the representation and participation of workers in standardisation.

Nayla Glaise

Nayla Glaise is a computer engineer in a consulting company. From October 2021 she has been the president of Eurocadres, based in Brussels. As such, Nayla leads the representation of over 6 million European workers in policy development.

Simon Vinge

Simon Vinge is Chief Economist at Akademikerförbundet SSR, the Union for Professionals – a Swedish trade union that prioritizes AI and algorithms as critical issues for workers, including academics.
